1. Submissions are open to both amateur and professional photographers.  You do not need to be an official member of the Company Girls at this website to participate.

2. Submission deadlines: Monday, May 18 (6 am CST) to  Sunday, June 14 ( Midnight CST).

3. Submissions (jpg files) should be uploaded to www.companygirl.com.  Finalists may be asked to submit copies with larger file sizes if necessary for publication.  Limit 10 submissions per photographer.

4. Submissions must be in keeping with the text of the book. We are specifically looking for “girlfriend” photos: sisters, friends, mothers, and daughters. Although we know boys love Company Girls, they are not the focus of this publication….perhaps the next book will feature them!  Your photo needs to relate to the story in order to be considered. No inappropriate, suggestive or explicit material will be allowed to be uploaded.

5. Participants understand that their photos, if selected, will be subject to editing, color correction and/or cropping for final publication.

6. Finalists will be notified via email and this blog.

7. Final photos will be selected on the basis of which photos BEST illustrate the text of the book.  The author is not required to select all final photos from this contest. Additional photos may be necessary to complete the project.

8. Finalists will be published in the book ”Company Girl,” and given credit for their work.  Finalists will receive a free copy of the book.

9. Public voting will take place after submissions have ended….a prize will be given for the photo with the most votes.

10. All finalists will receive exposure through credit on websites, such as www.homesanctuary.com, www.companygirl.com, www.musingmommies.com, and other promotional websites.

11. All participants may publicize their submissions via blog, email or other means.  We encourage all photographers to let their followers know about their participation.  The more, the merrier!

12. Finalists will be asked to sign a release for photos that will be used for publication.   Participants will retain copyrights of their photos. Model releases must be obtained and filed, if necessary.
