If not on a ladder painting murals, Rachel can be found writing her blog, Home Sanctuary.
“Home Sanctuary” sums up a lot of what Rachel’s life is about. As a wife and mom, she always looking for ways to make her home a place of grace and refuge for the ones she loves most. She’s got her struggles, but armed with a few tricks up her sleeve and a sense of humor, she’s learned that small victories are worth celebrating…especially at home.
On her daily blog, Rachel posts daily Small Things that women around the world, fellow Company Girls, can do together which help create a sense of sanctuary in this busy world. Each activity takes just a few minutes, but has big impact on their homes. Plus, they have a lot of fun along the way.
As a professional artist and designer, Rachel spends much of her days helping others create personal spaces for their own loved ones. She’s found that everyone needs a place they feel good about and love to come home to, whether they live in a million dollar mansion or a first apartment.
She’s been married 28 years to Tom, the young man who swept her off her feet when she was 19 years old. Together, they’ve raised three children (one is still at home, a senior in high school), and experienced both the joys and losses, and successes and failures that come with building a life together. It’s added up to a rich tapestry that Rachel draws upon when speaking to audiences and leading groups.
Rachel loves getting feedback from the book, “Company Girl.” If you have a story to share about a special friend in your life, or would like to get in touch with her, simply drop her an email.
